A Short Pause Over Summer

There will be a little break in our online and live worship and prayer over the next couple of weeks.

Streaming of Evening Prayer will stop until Tuesday the 18th August and Meditation Class is also having a break – keep your eyes and ears open for when this will start again.

Private Prayer in St James Church will also stop until Wednesday the 19th August.

However there will be services of Holy Communion on Sunday the 9th and 16th of August at the usual times.

 streamed online on the Saturday Evening before at 6pm

  • at 10am at St Margaret’s Tanfield and at 2pm at St James Burnopfield on the Sunday.

Please note that for these two weeks to book a place for the services in either Church you will need to phone the Vicarage number between 9am and 5pm on the Saturday before – otherwise there will be no answer!

There will also be the usual service of Compline streamed to Facebook at 7pm each Sunday as well.

 

Attending the Church During the Covid 19 pandemic.

The details below provide information on what steps are required regarding social distancing , requirements of face masks and booking requirements for attendance

  • Due to social distancing a maximum of 12 people or households may attend a service
  • And to help with our planning for the service you will need to contact the Vicar on the Saturday before the service to book a place.
  • You will need to bring and wear a mask or Face covering to attend and receive communion.

If and when you do book to attend you will get a guide to the other safety measures and what else to expect at this simple spoken service.

 Please note that we are still open for private prayer on Wednesday .

The Church will be open for individual private prayer and reflection (from 19th August)

On Wednesdays between 2.00 & 3.00 pm.

All are welcome to come to pray within the Church – but please note

  • Due to social distancing a maximum of 10 people may be in Church for prayer and reflection at any one time.
  • You will need to bring and wear a mask or Face covering to attend and receive communion.

And please do follow all other guidance offered for your safety and wellbeing.

 

Live Streaming in the Benefice of Tanfield with Burnopfield and Dipton .

From now and for the time being, we will be Live Streaming using the following pattern of services across the Benefice each week

Every Tuesday at 5pm, from the St Margaret’s Church Tanfield Facebook page – Evening Prayer (suspended until 18th August)

Every Thursday at 5pm, from the St James’ Church Burnopfield Facebook page – Evening Prayer (suspended until 20th August)

Every Saturday at 6.00pm , alternating from week to week between the two Facebook pages – Liturgy ( note this is being conducted on a Saturday due to the live services on a Sunday)

Every Sunday at 7pm, alternating from week to week between the two Facebook pages – Compline (Night Prayer)

Please keep your eyes on Twitter and Facebook for other Live Streamed events such as Godly Play Stories, Meditations or Evening Prayer for Saints Days etc
