The church was packed for the remembrance service held on 11th November 2018 to honour all servicemen and women. Jean Bell (pictured) was presented with a certificate of recognition from the British Legion for her 30 years service as a poppy seller/co-coordinator! Well done to all those who contributed to our special week of remembrance this year.

Following on from last ears event another Race Night is to be held at Lintz Cricket club on 22nd June.
A big thank you to Steve Dyer for the professional cookery demonstration held at St. James Church & Community hall on 11th May. Steve was a past runner up of the North East chef of the year and we were glad to welcome him back as he spends much of his time working abroad. The event raised over £350 towards the up keep of the church. Thank you for all those attended and a special tank you again to Steve.
The Church thanks the local branch of the Coop in Burnopfield for issuing a massive cheque for £3082.15 on to our church. This was a third of the accumulated amount raised by the Coop members in the preceding twelve months. 31st October 2016. Our organist at St James Church, Linda Jacob, retired after 33 years service! Rev Andy thanked her on behalf of the congregation and she was presented with some flowers and a cake. Many thanks and well done Linda!
